As early as five years old, Gale Pressman utilized her artistic abilities to make dolls for her and her friends to play with. Today, she has developed these skills to become a multi media artist, dollmaker, and school teacher.
She has been involved with giving children's workshops in movement, art, story stretching, cooking, and science. She has lead art and movement birthday parites for children. She has won awards in doll making and wire-sculpture and published multiple articles in both Doll Reader and Dollmaking magazines.
Gale has a range of talents and works with many different materials: glass, metal, porcelain, plastic, wire and various types of clay. Her specialty is porcelain dolls and she has made numerous portrait dolls including some of her children when they were young. In addition to her artistic endeavors, Gale is self trained in the restoration and repair of dolls; her repair talents include: antique dolls, jewelry, china, wood, marble, frames and various other media. In recent years, Gale has expanded her talents to custom jewelry design.
She can design jewelry to match fabric/outfits and can work with you to turn your own ideas into a beautiful reality.
