Diane fell in love with weaving from the first moment she sat down at a loom. Over the years she has taken classes and honed her skills.
She weaves her tallitot with hiddur mitzvah (beautification of the commandment) in mind. Intricate geometric patterns woven with fine silk thread characterize Diane’s weaving. She loves watching the patterns appear as she throws her shuttle and listens to the rhythm of the loom.
Diane will work with you to custom design a tallit or you can choose from one of her many designs. She also makes tallit bags, challah covers, and havdallah spice bags. Her non-Judaic weaving includes scarves, shawls and alpaca throws.
Diane exhibits and sells her work at Judaic conferences and juried shows throughout the United States. Her non-Judaic work can be seen at The Potomac Fiber Arts Gallery in Alexandria, VA and LibertyTown Arts Workshop in Fredericksburg, VA.
