Glass

As a lawyer, my left brain was constantly battling its right side counterpart. For many years, I worked as a public defender in New York City and then as an election lawyer in Washington D.C., while always pursuing artistic outlets. Finally, my left brain won! No longer practicing law, I am able to devote my time (while not parenting my two boys, ages 5 and 9) to creative endeavors.

A variety of media appeal to me; however, I recently fell in love with fused glass. The breadth of color, texture and technique available to explore is forever tempting and exciting. I began fusing at the ArtGlass Center at Glen Echo and have presented my work in shows there. Much of my work is inspired by Jewish culture: apple and honey dishes, seder and matzah plates and mezuzahs. These are currently for sale at the Adas Israel gift shop in Washington, DC. I also sell pieces through my web shop on Etsy.com.
